The academy's (Kunsthumaniora Bruggee) campus offers the luxury of its own exhibition space. The Audiovisual Arts department is seizing the opportunity to take over this in-house chapel from Friday, October 15, up to and including October 29, 2021. The exhibition focuses on the work of AVIVO alumni. The exhibitors: Fons Artois | Hyun De Grande | Chloë Delanghe | Judith Desmyttere | Vibe Stalpaert | Flo Vandenbussche | Sophie Vanhomwegen | Floris Van Severen graduated from the academy either a few years ago or more recently. The glue binding these former AVIVO students is their passion for aesthetically creating a window and a mirror on society through image and audio. The concepts are expressed in photography, film, video, animation, collage, VR, and a mixture of these presented as an installation.

The variety of works in the 'Allumé' exhibition highlights, almost literally, the alumni's fire for art, which was already ignited during their academy years in Bruges. May this spark spread to the new guard: young, up-and-coming talent with an eye for 'lumen' (light). The exhibition is the perfect showcase to put the spotlight on the Audiovisual Arts department and to proudly exhibit the success, creativity, diversity, and drive of former AVIVO students.
